"The first 15 people to comment on this post get to request a sketch of a subject/character of their choosing from me. (I'll do it here at work on a daily calendar page) In return, they have to post this in their journal (you don't have to.. but I'd be interested in the artists I know doing it too). Post all fandoms you're willing to draw for."
I'll draw from any fandom if you give me a ref. picture with your comment, just in case I don't know it.
Fun!

This is Cortlandt Manor Band's rival, Soft Furnishings, who they go up against in Battle of the Bands. While Corlandt Manor uses almost no songs with drums, and lots of strings and romanticism (a la the Irrepressibles), Soft Furnishings uses synths and have a heavier sound. (more like Roxy Music meets Dethklok)
Left to Right:
Trafalgar Square (vocals + guitar)
Soho Square (drums)
Belgrave Square (synths)
Russel Square (vocals + maybe another guitar)
Yes, I intentionally gave themost masculine sounding name to the one who's definately a girl. They actually are meant to be personified illustrations of the squares in town.. accepting possibly Trafalgar, who should really be dressed as Nelson, or at least be wearing a lion pelt. David suggested they be called The Squares, but I thought that was too gimmicky, and I absolutely LOVE the name Soft Furnishings. They don't look like the original Soft Furnishings at all, (in fact I think only the Alison-type one survived) because Viv is already there and having two incredibly tall dapper lesbians in one comic would be a bit much, and the Nicky one would have been too similar to Marius, and the Me one would be.. well... too much of an insert. I still don't know whether Trafalgar is a woman or not. Would be interesting either way.
Their record company? Seven Dials.
