I'm so excited to sell these. I'm going to include little illustrations of them as keepsakes. Maybe I should make little doll boxes too... hee.

Um... yes. On the personal and professional fronts, many many things have been going on, to be written aout extensively in the near future. But for now, I am ill and resting.

This one will be up tomorrow probably.. she just needs her arms strung, and I want a video of how she moves.

Anyone in London, please go and see my dolls at the Coffee Cake and Kink gallery! If you go when I do, I'll buy you tea!

I was super pleased with how they are displayed. The curator really pushed me to make it good, and I'm glad she did because they look fab.

I'll whip you! I will!

and Silvana, the swamp mermaid

More in [info]baritaria and my scrapbook gallery.

These are prototypes.. they are functioning marionettes, and I'm going to be selling some, hopefully by October, for around $300. Obviously they take a while and lots of effort and materials to make, so if you'd like to call dibs on one before I put them on a craft selling website, give me a heads up.

So I got Puppet Fever and started making another doll.

The head,
Pictured Here )

has a really nice expression, and I quite like it. Thing is, I wanted to make a Masoch-themed set so I could do little puppet plays of Venus in Furs scenes (one doll doubling as Severin and Masoch) and this was was intended to be a Wanda. However... it looks so... CAMP! It would make a wonderful camp male doll of some sort. Like maybe an iddy or a hairdresser. Then again, it looks quite imperious, and could mae a great Wanda too. I can't decide. Help me?

No, I'm not awake due to insomnia. I'm awake cause I had to update the comic. And I updated the comic.

Nino Rota Doll now has HAIR! Yaaaay!

He looks just like the real thing!

Man he is the coolest doll EVR. I need to make him a waistcoat. OK now.. I won't be online for probably the next week or so. I'm going to visit family and then the New World Royalist Society.

When I get my bevy of young people to follow me around everywhere, I *don't* want one to hold my umbrellas for me. (like Michael Jackson does) I want to hold my own damn umbrella. Holding an umbrella is one of the most fashionable things I can do. It looks wonderful, especially when it is not raining. Honestly, why would you give thast duty to someone else, and give them all that sexiness?

Trying to put together an act for Hanky Panky Cabaret, only to be doubting myself into an oblivion. Ye Gads, what am I going to do?! I wish I had a performing partner, this would be so much easier and more enjoyable.

Need to go to Europe.. its getting incestuous here. In the good way, mind, but it can be a bit stifling.

Big news: I have a legitimate reason for hating Germaine Greer. That's right. We disagree intensely on matters of Wagner. And on that note, I had an embarassingly emotional episode (EEE) whilst lamenting on how much I miss Bavaria. I know, I know.

Isn't it strange how voices in commercials are subliminally textured to suggest what they're selling? Not just things like 'rough' or 'relaxing' but also the likes of 'crispy' or 'fresh' or pleasent-smelling.' Odd, huh? Derren Brown must pull his hair out at those commercials.
(I have a new love for Derren Brown, and the side-effect is that I often wonder what he'd think of how they use subliminal tactics in everyday life)

Also, I made some dolls. )

In a freak mood of creativity, I bought some lightweight air-dry sculpting puddy from the London Graphics Shop. The stuff is amazing.
You know how I've always said I'm shit at anything 3D? Turns out not to be quite as true as I thought.
So I'm Making a Doll )

No, I did not give him two right hands. It just looks that way in the photo. The pinky is out on one hand, and the pointer is out on the other.
No, I don't know who it's going to be yet.. i think i'm deciding on either The Alien, Iddy, or perhaps a Schmendrik. Ludwig?
Yes, the head will look a lot better once it has painted features and real-hair.

The only thing left to sculpt (after these parts are fully dry) is the neck.

Can't wait! Looks better than I thought it would!
